Thanks to the last snowfalls, Grandvalira, Pal Arinsal and Ordino Arcalis are now opened. The snowfall of 100 cm in parts has been celebrated by locals while more snow is expected. The descent of the temperatures allows to produce more man-made snow to touch the more tracked areas.
Grandvalira has started the 2024-25 ski season with partial opening in the sectors of Pas de la Casa and Grau Roig, and then it opened the sectors of Encamp, Soldeu, El Tarter and Canillo.
In numbers, the Andorran ski domain of Grandvalira Resorts look like this:

Where to eat/drink in Grandvalira – What’s new for the season:
Nandu Jubany arrives to La Brasserie Piolet and the Vodka Bar. The renown Michelin star chef and five suns Repsol, Nandu Jubany is joining the culinary offer of Grandvalira. From this winter, he will offer a diverse quality offer for a dynamic après ski and dinner experiences in the restaurants Vodka Bar and Brasserie Piolet of the section of Grau Roig. He will also take charge of the catering of the singular lodging of Epic Andorra, where you sleep in the middle of the snowy peaks of Grandvalira is an amazing experience.

Snow Club Gourmet– luxury gastronomy on mountain. Sectors Soldeu and El Tarter
This is a new edition of the prestigious Snow Club Gourmet days, which takes to the kitchens of Grandvalira, unique proposals in charge of the best chefs around. This year you’ll be able to attend the following:
14 December- Restaurante la Arrocería Pí de Migdia in El Tarter- Italian food with white truffle by chef Paolo Casagrande (3* Michelin)
18 Jan – Wine & Meat Bar by Jean Leon in Sector Soldeu will offer a day of spoon food and mountain to revive classics, such as the “codido madrileño”- by chef Juanjo López (2 suns Repsol)
8 Feb- L’Abarset, in El Tarter. Seafood with chef Fuengirola (2 suns Repsol)
8 March- Wine & Meat bar by Jean León in Soldeu. An event called Pampeana & Lana- with the best premium meat cuts, with gaucho cuts of angus and wagyu that will be cooked by the Pampeana & Lana Argentine parrilla in Madrid.
29 March on El Abarset in El Tarter- Ugo Chan with a nipon Omakase menu. This restaurant that has one Michelin star in Madrid is one of the most appreciated now by the press and food lovers. This Omakase menu will showcase the best of the fusion Japanese food with regional inspirations.
New MyCorner in the Encamp sector. The hall of Funicamp will open this winter with a space for breakfast and healthy food: the terrace MyCorner. It is the second MyCorner in the slopes, after the open that opened on Grau Roig last season.
Colibrí in Encamp – The cozy coffee shop at the exit of the Funicamp is perfect for breakfast prior to go skiing or for a pit stop. This year it will have more space inside and in its terrace, where to enjoy its home-made pastries.
New Freixenet Lounge Pessons in the Grau Roig sector. Located in the exterior of the Restaurant Lago de Pessons, where one can stop to enjoy the cava and champagne. There will be different activities during the season in conjunction to Freixenet.
Coffee point Coma Coffee Roasters in the sector Soldeu. This is a special place to enjoy specialised coffees and hot cocktails. The place will offer brunch and special offers with the brand Coma Coffee Roasters, which will be great for coffee lovers.
New Terrace IQOS in Soldeu – this will be a great place for a different après-ski- inspired on the concept Game Changers. It will propose different cultural and musical events on the terrace IQOS.
Bulthaup Grau Roig – in the Grau Roig sector. There will be a new terrace around the Tubbo. An ideal space to do the aperitivo or stay after lunch. Located in Coma III, this restaurant has a shape of a tube with bulthaup decoration. It will offer the possibility to organise dinners under a starry sky in the middle of the pistes.
New self-service in the Grau Roig services building. A new alternative for fast food of good quality for groups and personnel of the ski resort.
Where to stay to ski in Grandvalira.
Sports Hotel Hermitage & Spa: an amazing 5* Leading Hotels of the World, just a few meters next to the ski lifts of Soldeu in Grandvalira. This gives you rooms and residences (of 2 to 4 rooms) with high quality furnishings and Egyptian cotton bed linen. The hotel has an amazing spa – free for 2 consecutive hours per day for adults. Note that kids under 13 years old are not allowed to access the Sport Wellness Mountain spa, and they can only go to the spa, accompanied by an adult. The pool is not for swimming. In the summer there is an outdoor pool that can be for swimming though, but it is closed in winter. Kids have access to the Kids Club- 3 consecutive hours per day to a program of activities and entertainment for kids of 4 to 12 years old. It must be reserved in advance. Kids under 4 years may reserve the service at an additional cost. 4 restaurants (with a couple featuring Michelin stars chefs)

Park Piolets Mountain Hotel & Spa
Located in Soldeu, 300 meters from the slopes. Great hotel for families. Guests have mountain views in very ample rooms. Rooms include a balcony or a terrace. The hotel’s buffet restaurant serves international cuisine. Guests can enjoy a drink on the lounge bar and the hotel terrace.
450 yards of the Soldeu ski lift and Canaro. It has an indoor swimming pool, a spa and wellness centre as well as a fitness centre. Guests love its breakfast.

Located in the centre of Andorra La Vella, the hotel offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and valley. It has a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and fitness centre. The hotel fitness centre includes a sauna, gym, and indoor swimming pool.
The Pyrenees Shopping Centre is less than 50 meters from the hotel and Sant Esteve Church is just 10 minutes’ walk away. The nearest resort is 20-minute drive.
