The provisional timetable has been carefully designed to align with European school holidays, the ski season, and city break getaways to Italy’s most iconic destinations, including Verona and Venice, offering a convenient and sustainable travel option for passengers across Europe.

Chris Engelsman, co-founder of European Sleeper, emphasized the importance of this new route: “This launch is a significant milestone for European Sleeper. Our mission is to reconnect Europe’s cities by night, providing travellers with more options for sustainable and comfortable travel. With stops in iconic locations like Innsbruck and connections to ski resorts and cultural landmarks, this route truly captures the spirit of adventure and discovery.”

The Local.it has covered that the inaugural trip had a bit of a hiccup showing how Europe’s rail can be problematic. A last-minute issue with the Italian rail management office made the train not being able to enter the country.

All passengers had to disembark the train in Innsbruck, Austria and hop on another train to finish the journey. Looks like for this company it was not an easy ride to set up this train and to liaise with the different countries of the EU. There is a good detail of what happened on The Local.it article. Still seems that the ride was a success and all details will be polished soon.
